Dr. Cheryl Ramos Dr. Cheryl Ramos
Dr. Cheryl Ramos was born in San Francisco and has lived in California most of her life. She is a graduate of the University of California Veterinary Medicine School. Cheryl moved to Florida for a year to complete her internship after graduation and has been an Emergency Clinician at VetCare since her return home. Cheryl enjoys spending her time off with her family, including Mamma Kitty the feline member. She also enjoys painting and hiking outdoors.
 
Dr. Kelly Stockton Dr. Kelly Stockton
Dr. Kelly Stockton grew up in Maryland, and received her DVM from Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 1995. She worked in general practice for 4 years before making the transition to emergency medicine. Following a vacation to California Dr. Stockton to make the Bay area her home, in 1999 she made the move. Dr. Stockton's professional interests consist of trauma/critical care, pain management and fluid therapy management. In her spare time she enjoys watching movies, cross-stitching, Sudoku puzzles, and walks with her dog on the Bay Trail.

Dr. Kipperman is from Long Island, New York and received his DVM in 1987 from the University of Missouri. He completed an internship at the prestigious Animal Medical Center in New York City, and a residency at University of California at Davis. Dr. Kipperman has been in a 24 hour referral practice since 1992, and was board certified in internal medicine in 1994. Dr. Kipperman founded VetCare in 1997.

Dr. Kipperman has published numerous articles on the topics of animal advocacy and veterinary ethics. Dr. Kipperman is a guest lecturer in the UC Davis veterinary school ethics course, and has presented symposia on standards of care and veterinary ethics at national meetings. When away from the hospital, Dr. Kipperman plays guitar and piano, and lives with his two cats Toby and Lilly and his Pug, Winston.
 
Dr. Nikki Wimmer Dr. Nikki Wimmer
Dr. Wimmer grew up in Alaska. She received her DVM in 2006 from Colorado State University. She completed a small animal medicine and surgery internship at Angell Animal Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. She continued her training at Angell with a residency and fellowship in small animal internal medicine. Following the advanced training, she worked in Virginia at a 24hr referral and emergency hospital before moving to Northern California in 2012. Dr. Wimmer’s professional interests include gastroenterology, endocrinology, and immunology. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, biking, snowboarding, and spending time with her family that includes a greyhound, Mattimeo, and a cat, Makanu.

Dr. John Haburjak graduated from UC Davis Veterinary School in 1993 with his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree. He practiced as a general practitioner in Northern California for 5 years before returning to academics to complete a combined surgical residency program in San Diego and the University of Illinois.
Dr. Haburjak is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons; and his research interests include orthopedic trauma and disorders of the carpus. He has presented his research data at several annual conferences. He has several publications in the Veterinary Orthopedic and Traumatology Journal, Journal of Small Animal Practice and the Journal of the American Animal Hospital Association. His clinical surgical interests include surgical oncologic procedures of the face, head and neck, corrective orthopedic procedures and neurosurgery (spinal).
Dr. Haburjak’s hobbies include SCUBA diving, Oakland A’s baseball, road cycling and cooking (not to mention eating, too!). He shares his life with his wife, Aimee (also a veterinarian), daughter Eva, Calvin (many-toed, Siamese cross) and Noelle (a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel).
